Since long we are in love with Scott Hobbs Bourne’s art of living. He skates brilliant. His poems are deeper than deep. Now he published a novel which reveals a lot about his inner. We needed to talk. To do so we met Scott in a studio in Paris to record a Carhartt Radio special in which he gets questioned by the fellow skateboarder Bram De Cleen about his new book “A Room With No Windows” - a novel based around the author’s real life adventures, full of deep erotic tones, as well as the idea of soul searching through sex. The heavily plot driven story is told in a first person narrative that takes the reader on a historical roller coaster ride through a turbulent San Francisco of the 90s. A powerful, urgent, electric tale of comradely and perilous true love that Scott ones lived by himself before he fled from San Francisco to France. Between the spoken words you hear Blues music by Chris Kenna and Melissa Cox taken from their album “One Night In Paris” - the perfect record to accompany Scott’s statements.
